black mocha brighton review

Our fave Black Mocha’s brunch menu is really a cut above, offering reliably delectable meat, veggie and vegan options – but it’s their specials where they really pull out all the stops.

This weekend’s was a massive treat of black pudding, bacon (still tied best in the city with Sugardough), guac and poached egg on sweetcorn glazed sourdough – all for the grand old price of £8.50.

No black mochas for us this time as we were already pretty jacked up from our earlier trip to @bondstcoffee , but the tea here was ace (and entirely reasonable at a pot for £2.30).

We also opted for their take on the Reuben sandwich. Yum.

Why we love it

Black Mocha is always a lovely spot to sit for some brunch. It’s reliably great quality food, brimming with flavour; service is friendly and there’s a ton of light.

Plus, it may be the only cafe in the centre of town to boast a stellar location while remaining relatively unknown. Go figure!
