black mocha brighton review

Now this is a place that knows their bacon. Delish brunch at Black Mocha as always. We also tried their signature namesake for the very first time too, and were blown away by just how indulgent it was (but then an espresso shot laced with couverture chocolate was always going to be a winner, wasn’t it?).

black mocha brighton review

Now this is a place that knows their bacon. Delish brunch at Black Mocha as always. We also tried their signature namesake for the very first time too, and were blown away by just how indulgent it was (but then an espresso shot laced with couverture chocolate was always going to be a winner, wasn’t it?).

On our plate:

House breakfast – 2x poached eggs, 2x streaky bacon (the best kind, obvs), caramelised balsamic portobello mushrooms, farmhouse sausage and smokey beans on sourdough – £10

black mocha brighton review - two poached eggs sit neatly atop a pile of beans, mushrooms and bacon on sourdough. Delicious.
black mocha brighton review - shakshuka in a heavy iron dish, with crispy sourdough

Shakshuka – baked eggs poached in a spiced tomato, red and yellow pepper sauce, feta & mint served with rosemary focaccia – £8.50

Indulgent menu

We’re obsessed with their eponymous ‘black mocha’, which rounds off any dish nicely with its sweet and caffeine-fuelled kick. There’s plenty for veggies and vegans too, which is always a big plus!
